A new collaborative project between high-end chefs is set to elevate the dine-at-home-box, straight to your table.
If you miss seeking out exceptional restaurants on holiday, and how expert chefs prepare remarkable local ingredients at home, Back To Dine presents a very special new way to dine at home. While nothing can replace the dining experience in your favourite local restaurant, or a much anticipated meal in a specially chosen restaurant abroad, Back To Dine seeks to combine both, with exclusive collaborations between chefs in Ireland and world-wide.
Drawing from the award-winning talent from brilliant chefs, using excellent local ingredients, and years of expertise, Back To Dine brings a quality and unique food experience into homes across Dublin. Back To Dine is for that special night in, a treat that elevates a meal at home, and for occasions that call for a little bit more. So if there’s a significant birthday coming up, a client you would like to thank, if you’re preparing to pop the question, or simply want you treat yourself to a gorgeous high-end meal, get ready to go Back To Dine.
Our opening menu was a collaboration between Yann Florio (MasterChef: The Professionals Finalist 2019, Kreidal London) and Temple Garner (Bresson, San Lorenzos).
Our second collaboration from Galway’s JP McMahon (Michelin-starred Aniar Restaurant, Cava Bodega, and Tartare Café & Wine Bar) and Temple Garner (Bresson, San Lorenzos)
Our third collaboration is from London based Irish chef Anna Haugh (Myrtle Restaurant, London), Cathryn Bell (Wine Rover) and Temple Garner (Bresson, San Lorenzos).
Our fourth was a Dublin affair, with owners and head chefs at both Pichet and Bresson. So a Dublin All Star collab from owner Temple Garner and new Head chef Peter Byrne at Bresson, with owner Stephen Gibson and head chef Harry Quinn at Pichet. This is the first meal kit from Pichet. Cathryn Bell (WineRover.ie) returns too for wine pairing.
For our 5th box collaboration, we are heading stateside to the Big Apple for a collaboration with chef-owners Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson from Frenchette, NYC. One of the hottest restaurants in America, Frenchette was the winner of the James Beard Foundation Best New Restaurant in 2019. It was also nominated for Best New Restaurant in Food & Wine for 2019, has received 3 stars in The New York Times and has garnered rave reviews. Do have a read on the collaborators page about Riad and Lee, their jaw-dropping bios are there. Many of you would have eaten or heard of the restaurant’s they cooked in as head chefs, and it’s not an understatement to say they changed dining globally. It doesn’t get bigger than this. It’s an honour to have them on board for our project here in Dublin.
To make our final menu extra special and to coincide with the relation of the lockdown in Ireland, we offered our customers the chance to either choose between dining at the Back To Dine pop-up experience at San Lorenzos or dine at home with the box. This San Lorenzo’s menu was a huge success, with virtually every weekend selling out tickets for the pop-up and the home-dining option. The pop-up also gave Temple the opportunity to add some extra surprises courses for our restaurant guests, in fact the in restaurant experience ended up many many times as a 13 course tasting menu.
Please note we have limited supply so order asap to avoid disappointment.
